In my newfound theological studies I rapidly concluded that tithing places people in bondage. Churches preach the Gospel light, don't mention sin, have shallow or non-existant theological teachings, but they sure do teach tithing.

Attempts to justify tithing as a creation ordinance are flimsy, twist scripture, and ignore other plain NT scriptures on giving.

My old Four-Square church was such a church. They require you to tithe to them (they called it storehouse tithing) in order to join.
